I joined the January Challenge 2022 this year. I got really stuck into the day 2 prompt of ‘Why I love…’ And this made me really think about my creative process.
I love going to Bournemouth, when we visit we do as many things as possible and some are the same things that we do over and over. And it got me thinking about my creative process. What do I repeat, why do I repeat it? I produce the same types of images and use mainly watercolour because it's comfortable. I
To shake things up I decided to think about Bournemouth in a different way and mind-map my way through my thought process.
This was different for me as I always think in images but the words began to associate themselves with pictures and I found myself on google looking for pictures.
I have attached the mind map and the collage work that I produced. It really got me thinking in a different way and I can see numerous starting points for paintings…
